She slowly made her way to the attic window. When she reached there, Serafina adjusted the cushions and made it into a makeshift bed. She snuggled into it and gazed at the moon that was shining with an especial warm light that seemed to penetrate through her terrified heart and soothe her down. The attic window was the only place that she sought solace and where she felt that the world was at peace with her.

This is a continuation from my previous story, so pls read that first. This story is out of random inspiration, and will bear no resemblance to any other story.

Serafina awoke with a start. She sat up abruptly as her pupils darted back and forth, searching for any hint of menace. She heaved a sigh of relief when she realized that it was all a nightmare. She slid into her furry bunny slippers and softly closed the door so as not to awaken her sleeping best friend, Felicia, who was sound asleep.

Her eyes dilated with fear. Her soft footsteps echoed down the hallway. The echo of her footsteps reverberated around the room. Terror gripped her whole being and pedpiration started dripping from her forehead. Serafina felt as if she had been running for ages, yet she could not will herself to stop. Frightening thoughts raced through her mind. Panic started to engulf her, when suddenly, a blood-chilling scream pierced her ears. Overcome with fright, Serafina lost her balance and fell down in a swoop. Just before she fainted, she saw a shadow loomed over her. "Save me." were the last words she uttered before her mind completely shut down and she was lulled into a deep sleep.

How was that? This story is out of random inspiration, but, I think that I should be able to write a continuation to it..

Why do we humans feel exhausted?
I stand in a sea of sorrow and exhaustion,

I am ready to flop down on my couch and kick back my heels. The final year exam has exhausted all my energy and now, it's time for the 2 R's; relaxation and reflection.

Is feeling exhausted neutral or sinister?
Void of all emotions,

The final year exams just keep on getting tougher as we age. More facts and data are piled onto us, as we struggle to cope with the workload.

Is exhaustion a major factor in the cause of the sluggishness that happen periodically?
I yearn to cry,

Sometimes,  I wish that we could go back to when we were mere children, so carefree and naive. Without a problem to stress about... If only we could... But, that is merely a wish that can never be granted...

Why do humans yearn to not want be exhausted, just like immortals or superheroes, which they knew, would never come true?
Yet, my tears, are being held back by an invisible barrier.
